LEAD AV TECHNICIAN

We are currently looking for a Lead AV Technician with 3-5 year of experience in Audio, Video and Lighting system integration.  In this position you will have the unique and exciting opportunity to play a central role in our large-scale projects with highly renowned clients throughout the Washington DC Metro area and beyond.

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the on-site team while assisting with rack fabrication and the setup and/or commissioning of analog and IP audio/video systems.  WPS provides in-house control system and DSP programming for our integration projects therefore our ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, and BSS programming, networking, broadcast video routing and AV for conferencing.  To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who are self-motivated, highly organized, have strong troubleshooting skills and are driven to learn as technology is always evolving.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have 3-5 years of AV systems integration

  • Demonstrate their ability to lead/mentor junior technicians

  • Exhibit knowledge of industry guidelines for installation and terminations (BICSI/AVIXA)

  • Be able to setup, test, commission, and troubleshoot AVL equipment

  • Be able to read/interpret architectural and signal flow drawings

  • Have knowledge of Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC, and Biamp systems

  • CTS or CTS-I Certification

  • QSC Q-SYS Certification

  • Dante Certification
